This recipe will teach you how to prepare the dougnuts at home.

  • 450 g* wheat flour
  • 230 ml warm milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 40 g sugar
  • 42 g piece of yeast
  • 20 g butter, melted
  • 1 tsp of salt

Put the flour, the sugar and the salt in a saucepan, add the eggs, the butter and gradually the yeast, after having dissolved it in tepid milk.

Mix the ingredients with on pastry board sprinkled with flour. Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it is soft but not sticky. Put the dough in an oiled bowl and cover it with a tea towel. Let the dough rest for 2 hours. Once the dough has risen, cut it into a rectangular shape 1 cm thick, then use a biscuit cutter or a glass to cut out round slices 6-7 cm in diameter.

Put a little jam on the dough slices and cover each with another dough slice. Press with the palm of your hand to join both slices. Cover the doughnuts and let them rise for an additional 20 minutes. Then bake them in hot oil and turn them after half the cooking time. Then let them cool and sprinkle them with icing sugar.
