The San Fermo languet in San Felice del Benaco will be open to tourists and visitors for another five years.
The San Fermo area, a beautiful languet stretching out into Lake Garda and nearly extending to the Isola del Garda, is privately owned. The mayor of San Felice del Benaco, Paolo Rosa, has however reached an agreement with the owners, who will allow access to the area for another five years. The San Fermo languet is closed to traffic, but access to the beach of the Baia del Vento is possible via a gravel path that can easily be reached via the bicycle paths in the area. A church of the same name, dating back to the 13th century, is located on the San Fermo languet. The languet is ideal for swimming, as boats are prohibited in a 350 metre radius from the shore.
