The most important wine fair in the world, the Vinitaly, will take place from the 9th to the 12th of April 2017 in Verona.
Vinitaly, now in its 51st edition, has been for years an event with great international appeal. This is the reason why companies want to be there and reconfirm their presence. This year, there will be some news regarding infrastructure and aesthetics: the enlargement and restyling of some pavilions (Piedmont, Tuscany, Sardinia, VinInternational). The business plan foresees further investments: 72 million Euro from 94 are at disposal to improve infrastructure and digital transformation and to build a car park for more than 3000 cars. Tuscany and VinInternational will be united into a large exhibition space of about 4.000 square metres that will replace the two separate structures, set up until last year. Another interesting news is the presence of English and US-American wine cellars in addition to exhibitors from Switzerland, France, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Croatia, Argentina, Portugal, Australia and South Africa. Foreign buyers have the opportunity to taste the best wines at the “Taste & Buy” meetings for businesses. Vinitaly has always been interested in other countries and therefore, between January and March, Vinitaly International travels to San Francisco, New York, Miami, Houston and Chengdu in China with an intense marketing and promotion programme of wines.
One of the objectives of this year’s edition is the expansion outside of the exhibition area and in particular to draw a clear line between the b2b (business to business) and b2c (business to consumer) events.
