From 3 to 5 February 2018, at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Verona, Anteprima Amarone will be an opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the recognition of the Valpolicella D.O.C (Guarantee of Origin) and to taste 2014 Amarone wines.
On 3 February, from 9 am to 5 pm, the inauguration of the event will be reserved for the press and media and it will open with greetings of the institutions.
On Sunday 4 February 2018, from 10 am to 7 pm, Anteprima Amarone will start for public and it will end on Monday 5 February 2018, with another event reserved for sector operators, from 10 am to 5 pm.
The ticket, purchased also on the official website of Anteprima Amarone, includes wine and local typical products tasting.
Amarone wine is an important resource of Valpolicella: 13 million bottles are produced, for a value of 330 million (price 23 euros), of which 60% is reserved for export. The area of production of Valpolicella Doc and Docg wines is divided into the Classical area and the Valpantena area. The most famous wines are Valpolicella, Ripasso, Amarone and Recioto.
Anteprima Amarone,will be an opportunity to taste the fine wine and to discuss different themes from different points of view, such as production, economic impact, quality and sustainability of Valpolicella.
