Accessible Tourism

Description

A holiday on Lake Garda has no limits: the lake offers something to suit everybody's taste in terms of countryside and sports, but also regarding the arts, culture and food and wine. Of late, towns and hotels have adapted to the ever growing number of tourists. They also try and cater to visitors' needs, starting with those of people with disabilities.

There are various regional mobility services, from annual tickets for local public transport and special tariffs to taxis for wheelchair users and discounted tickets for all ferries on Lake Garda.
A few museums, which are completely or at least partially barrier-free, grant a discount or a free admission, among them the MAG Museo Alto Garda in Riva del Garda, the olive oil museum in Cisano and the Paper Mill Valley with the paper museum in Toscolano Maderno.

There are also sports offers designed to include everyone. From sailing and rafting to skiing in the winter months: various assocations adapt non-inclusive equipment and sports activities to the use by people with disabilities.
