The Gensan Juliet and Romeo Half-Marathon will take place in Piazza Azzurri d’Italia at 10 am on Sunday 18 February 2018.
The half marathon of Verona is one of the most important running races in Italy, with a strong international appeal. At the same time, there will be also the Iaaf (World Athletics Federation), the Aims (World Road Racing Association) and the Fidal (Italian Athletics Federation), with a measured and certified path.
Last year Fidal awarded the ‘Gold Label’ to the race, a certification of excellence for its organization and number of participants.
This year, concurrently with the Juliet and Romeo Half-Marathon, there will be the Monument Run, a non-competitive 5 km race that will run in the heart of Verona through five historical and artistic monuments as principal points: Castelvecchio, the ancient fortress of the city, Porta Borsari, the main entrance of the city in imperial times, Piazza Erbe, the oldest square, the passage inside the Arena, and the arrival in Piazza Bra.
