The modernization of Via Costabella, a scenic road in the hills between Cisano and Bardolino, has been completed with the realization of a picturesque pedestrian and bicycle path.
A 1.6 km long pedestrian and bicycle path, separated from the road by green beds, with benches and lookouts to enjoy the beauties of Lake Garda. The renewal of Via Costabella makes the area not only more accessible, but also more beautiful by removing unaesthetic telephone and power cables from the field of view.
The final cost of the work was € 1,400,000.00 thanks to a regional funding of € 400,000.00. To ensure safety, there are 250 pavement lights throughout the whole path.
The reconstruction idea is 10 years old and goes back to the administration of Pietro Meschi, who was invited by the current mayor Ivan de Beni to cut the ribbon with Antonio Pastorello (President of the Province) and Lauro Sabaini (Ecology and Territory Assessor). The inhabitants also took part in the ceremony.
