From 9 to 11 of June 2017, Affi‘s historic centre hosts the 20th Medieval Pageant.
A spectacular revival of history with markets, exhibitions and performances in the medieval village of Affi, which will be filled with brave knights, fearless archers, musicians, colour guards and jugglers. Thanks to the reconstruction of medieval craftsmanship and everyday life, visitors can see carpenters, weavers, leatherworkers, writers, goldsmiths, bakers, salt and relic merchants at work.
The village of Affi is located at the foot of “Monte Moscal”, on which you can find the medieval hermitage of Sant’Andrea from 1200.
The streets and courtyards are typical of a rural village inhabited mainly by semi-lessors of the landowners of Affius.
There will be three areas corresponding to different periods, covering a total of almost seven centuries of history from 816 to 1492.
On Sunday, 11 June, from 3.30 pm to 6 pm there will be competitions in 6 glorious disciplines such as archery and sack race between the Affi, Incaffi, Cà Orsa and Cocche districts.
